In this weeks ATAC tennis tips video, Nick Hansen, tennis teacher at Arrowhead Tennis & Athletic center goes over some basic singles strategy. Specifically, the differences between hitting cross-court and down-the-line. The court is 4.5 feet longer hitting cross-court as opposed to down-the-line and the net is slightly lower, so going cross-court is the more consistent shot and should be hit more often. However, there is definitely a time and a place to go down-the-line. Practicing cross-court shots every time you go out to practice is a great and simple way to improve your tennis game.
